THIS OPPORTUNITY IS BASED IN SANDY SPRING, MD

Brooke Grove Retirement Village is seeking a full time Assistant Manager of Culinary Services to join our very diverse and forward thinking food services program.  The Assistant Manager works with the Director of Culinary Services to manage all aspects of the Culinary Services Department in our rehabilitation and nursing center.

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the daily operations of food service department, according to facility policy and procedures and federal/state regulations. Assistant Manager directly oversees all food preparation aspects of the dining services operation and is committed to the preparation of quality food products. The Assistant Manager provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and resident expectations are satisfactorily met and manages employees within framework of teamwork and empowerment. The Assistant Manager must have the ability to problem-solve and bring about effective resolution. Other duties may be assigned.

*Must be a Certified Dietary Manager, or have the ability to obtain within a set time frame.  Must have a ServSafe certification.  

*Minimum 2 years' experience in food service management. Experience in healthcare food service preferred.  

*Excellent communication, written and verbal.

*Able to work Flexible day shifts that may include some 11am to 8:30pm shifts along with rotating weekends, holidays, as needed. 

*Able to interact positively with people of all ages.

This is a salaried position.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
